The OMEGA Speedmaster First Omega In Space ref. 310.32.40.50.06.002, is a refined tribute to the first OMEGA worn in space, blending vintage inspiration with modern performance. With a 39.7 mm stainless steel case in a mix of polished and brushed finishes, this model strikes elegant proportions that echo the historic Speedmaster CK 2998. The symmetrical design, straight lugs, and unguarded pushers enhance its classic appeal. The dial features a grey-blue CVD coating that captures vintage charm, accented by applied indexes and “Alpha” hands filled with vintage-toned Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility. A small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock complete the tri-compax layout. A fixed black aluminium tachymeter bezel featuring the iconic “Dot Over Ninety” (DON) recalls classic Speedmaster styling. Inside, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861, hand-wound, powers the watch. Certified by METAS, it’s resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and delivers approximatively 50 hours of power reserve. Water resistance at 50 meters. The watch is paired with a brown leather strap with a stainless steel buckle, combining elegance and comfort on the wrist. On the caseback, the Seahorse medallion and engravings such as “THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE” and the date October 3, 1962 pay homage to OMEGA’s space legacy.
