Encased in 42 mm stainless steel, the case is paired with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a matching sapphire exhibition caseback that reveals the beating heart of the watch. On the dial, diamond-polished black PVD hands and indexes contrast elegantly with the bright white background. A red “Speedmaster” signature and red-tipped chronograph seconds hand bring a touch of vivid flair. The iconic tri-compax layout features a small seconds subdial, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter, while the fixed aluminum tachymeter bezel retains the vintage “dot over 90” (DON) detail beloved by longtime collectors. Inside, the hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861 provides 50 hours of power reserve and magnetic resistance up to 15'000 gauss. Water resistance up to 50m. Mounted on an elegant black micro-perforated leather strap with folding clasp, the combination is refined, versatile, and comfortable on the wrist. With this release, Omega channels its experimental “Alaska Project” heritage, introducing a white dial initially conceived for extreme heat resistance, while staying true to the Moonwatch’s legacy.
